2020 Chevrolet Traverse Towing Specs

There are seven trim configurations in the new 2020 Traverse model lineup, each of which boasts a 3.6L V6 engine and standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive for extra agility on Metairie streets. Towing capacity is 1,500 pounds for entry-level models, but choose the right trim and equip it properly, and that towing capacity balloons to an impressive 5,000 pounds. Want to learn more about how your trim choice affects the Chevy Traverse towing capacity? Find that info below:

  • 1,500-pound maximum towing capacity: applicable on the L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, or RS with front- or all-wheel drive, as well as the Premier with front-wheel drive trims
  • Max 5,000-pound maximum towing capacity: applicable on the Premier with all-wheel drive or the High Country with front- or all-wheel drive trims

2020 Chevy Traverse Cargo Space Specifications

Complementing the capable towing specs of the new Chevy Traverse is a hugely spacious interior with a ton of room for your cargo, groceries, or gear:

  • Max Cargo Volume Behind 2nd Row: 57.80 cubic feet
  • Max Cargo Volume Behind 1st Row: 98.2 cubic feet

Traverse Storage Enhancing Solutions

Have you ever heard the phrase work smarter not harder? Well, the new 2020 Chevy Traverse does just that, thanks to ingenious cargo carrying solutions like:
  • A Hands-Free Liftgate: When the 2020 Traverse is equipped with this feature, all you need to do to load or unload cargo is swipe your foot below the rear bumper to open the rear tailgate. Voila! It’s almost like magic. But it’s not: it’s cutting-edge Chevy technology.
  • Tons of Hidden Storage: Looking to hide valuables or access even more storage space when you have a full car? The new Traverse offers ample hidden storage crevices and floor storage.
